Although she has been a Brooklyn College student and college assistant since 2007, Allyson Yates became a part of WBCR in the Fall of 2009 as the host of The Alternative Mix. Because of her knowledge of HTML and her new found passion for radio, she became the webmaster of MyWBCR.com in the beginning of 2010. Radio has been in her blood for years with her father being a part of Kingsborough Community College's radio station back in the 1970's. She is one semester away from completing her Bachelor's degree in Television and Radio with a minor in Acting, and hopes to continue in the radio industry. She would like to thank her mom and her friends for being so supportive of her and her dreams. She also hopes that her father and grandfather are proud of her accomplishments, wherever they are.
